The Beginning

The Beginning

In 2007 I got promoted at work to a certain position which placed me as supervisor to some fellow employees, but it was obvious to me that the person I was replacing didn't want me to have that position and was teaching another guy the “ins and outs” for the job.  The guy he was teaching was my friend and to be quite honest, he had more experience, but I had seniority and at the time I didn't know as much about the job that my friend did.  However, I got promoted and I was very happy but not everyone felt the same.   The co-workers I had been working with started to see me as the enemy and made my life harder at work.   I didn't let that stop me, but it did bother me and was very difficult.
One afternoon when I got home from work, I took a bath and was crying and whining about why my crew didn’t like me at work. At that very moment, as plain as day, I heard a voice say, “SEE YOU BE YOU”.  This message was telling me that when you get up every day and look in the mirror, see who God created you to Be and unapologetically be the best the You that you can be.
When I heard that, I ran with what i heard and started to develop the vision. I shortened the words to letters and came up with the acronym C.U.B.U., which means: Confident. Unusual. Bold. and Unique.  No matter where we come from, we should be (Confident) in who we are, we are (Unusual) meaning that you are rare and uncommon, always be (Bold) in who you are, and lastly all 7 billion people on our planet Earth are(Unique) in their own way.
When I came up with the logo I was at work in my office.  I was pondering what animal I could use as a logo for C.U.B.U. I wanted to use something that signifies being unique.  I was thinking of everything from rhinos, elephants, sloths, and everything else in the jungle. As I was thinking and meditating about what I should choose a voice said look down. When I looked down at my desk, I saw my chrome stapler sitting there. It had a perfect imprint of my fingerprint staring back at me, and I knew that was it.
I am asking you to add your resources to my vision so we can give hope and confidence to  anyone that is dealing with Identity Crisis and allow C.U.B.U. be the spark that changes an inferiority complex to a diamond in the rough ready to reciprocate and change the world.
